The City of Springfield has announced James Sullivan is being replaced today as the city’s director of information services.
The city said 28-year city employee Jay Underfanger will take over as the department’s acting director.
The announcement did not connect the announcement to a post during the past weekend on the city’s Facebook page by Mayor Misty Buscher criticizing social media posts by an unnamed city director.
