As Harvest season hits our area the Sangamon County Sheriff’s Office as well as the Sangamon County Farm Bureau urge local motorists to slow down and use caution when encountering farm equipment on the roadways.
Sangamon County Sheriff Paula Crouch says “Harvest season is one of the busiest times of the year in our community, and we all share the responsibility of keeping our roads safe. Patience and awareness go a long way in preventing accidents. A few extra seconds of caution can make all the difference and help both farmers and drivers get home safe to their families.”
