The 160-foot-high smokestack at the former Pillsbury Mills site is scheduled to be demolished today.
The wrecking ball is expected to begin its work at 10 a.m. Thursday.
Work was delayed from earlier this week as demolition equipment was readied. A viewing area has been established near the main gate.
