Fireworks at the end of Monday’s continuation of the Springfield High vs Southeast football game led to 8 students getting ejected during the fourth quarter.
The ejections came after an altercation on the field after a play. Players who are ejected according to District 186 are typically benched for one game.
The IHSA however will review the game footage to determine any further consequences.
