Jimmy Kimmel delivered what might have been the most anticipated monologue in late night history last night . . . and he pretty much nailed it.
He thanked everyone who supported him during his suspension . . . including CONSERVATIVES like Ted Cruz, who spoke out in support of free speech.
He also got emotional when he said he never intended to, quote, “make light of the murder of a young man.” He also said he understood why some people thought his remarks were, quote, “either ill-timed or unclear or maybe both.”
His voice also cracked when he praised Erika Kirk for forgiving Charlie’s murderer. Quote, “That is an example we should follow. If you believe in the teachings of Jesus as I do, there it was.”
Jimmy also took aim at President Trump and the FCC for trying to silence him. Quote, “That’s not legal, that’s not American. That is un-American. And it’s so dangerous.”
He added, quote, “[Trump] did his best to cancel me. Instead, he forced millions of people to watch the show. That backfired bigly. He might have to release the Epstein files to distract us from this.”
Ironically, while Kimmel was delivering this monologue, Trump was on social media threatening MORE CENSORSHIP.
He said Jimmy puts ABC in “jeopardy” by, quote, “playing 99% positive Democrat garbage, and added, quote, “I think we’re going to test ABC out on this. Let’s see how we do.
“Last time I went after them, they gave me $16 million. This one sounds even more lucrative.”
