Individuals and businesses can settle outstanding Illinois tax liabilities without penalties or interest under a state program that begins next week.
The Illinois Department of Revenue says the amnesty period is October 1st through November 17th , during which full payments can be made without penalties on taxes due between June 30, 2018 to July 1, 2024. More information is online at tax.illinois.gov/taxamnesty
