Work is expected to begin today in Sherman to repair damage to public and personal property caused by contractors working for Comcast in recent weeks.
Sherman officials said on Sunday that Village President Trevor Clatfelter and staff met last week with a Comcast vice president and the owner of contractor American Cable and Telephone to address damage to utility lines and private property, including raw sewage flooding a residence after a sewer line was cut.
The village said work will begin in Old Tipton Estates and Steeplechase subdivisions. Permits for continued boring have been put on hold until remediation is complete.
