A Springfield man is charged with attempted murder for allegedly pushing a man from a wheelchair and stomping on his head several times. Charges against 46-year-old Montez Edward Bolden also include four counts of battery and battery to a peace officer.
Prosecutors said the victim was knocked unconscious and lost a significant amount of blood during the incident at 3:30 am Wednesday at Sixth and Jefferson streets. Bolden was denied pre-trial release and is in the Sangamon County Jail.
