Springfield Police added seven officers and announced two promotions during a ceremony on Tuesday.
Five of the new officers recently completed basic law enforcement training while the other two officers were hired from other departments.
Kristoffer Rhodes was promoted to lieutenant and Orlando Manzaneres was promoted to sergeant.
