Williamsville Man Arrested for Firing Shotgun Round Into the Air

A Williamsville man has been arrested for firing a shotgun round into the air during a confrontation with a delivery driver outside his home.

The incident took place on September 30th. Authorities say 76-year-old David A. Sagle told them he saw an unknown vehicle and man in his driveway and discharged his firearm into the air.

The man was Amazon delivery driver, who had left a package at the residence and was attempting to locate the correct address while wearing a company safety vest.

Sagle was taken into custody without further incident. Police arrested him on charges of reckless discharge of a firearm and aggravated assault.
