The final pre-trial hearing for Sean Grayson was held Thursday in Sangamon County ahead of his jury trial later this month on charges of first-degree murder.
Grayson is the former sheriff’s deputy charged with the shooting death of Sonya Massey in July 2024 as he responded to a 9-1-1 call at her home in unincorporated Springfield.
His jury trial is scheduled to begin October 20th in Peoria.
