Harvest Days at The Gables
Saturday Trick or Treating and Touch a Truck 1pm – 2:30pm.  Kids costume contest starts at 2:30pm with prizes.

Friday Night Live – Fall Edition
Friday evening in Downtown Springfield celebrates fall with live music at multiple venues, art galleries open late and local shops staying open after hours just for this event.

New Salem Candlelight Walk
Friday – Sunday at Lincoln’s New Salem State Historic Site in Petersburg.  Each evening 5pm – 7:30pm.   The walk features the historic village lit entirely by candle lanterns, with interpreters in period clothing stationed throughout log homes and shops.  These interpreters offer insights into daily life in 19th-century Illinois.  Visitors will also be able to tour many candle-lit building interiors and are asked to keep flashlights off to maintain the setting’s authenticity.

Jack-O-Lantern Spectacular at the Carillon
Enjoy hundreds of hand-carved pumpkins with the backdrop of the Carillon in Washington Park.  Friday from 6:30pm – 9:30pm.  Adults $10, kids 4-11 $7, kids under 3 are free.

Boo Bark
Halloween party for dogs!  Hosted by the Animal Protective League.  The event is Saturday 11am – 2pm.  $3 for one dog, $5 for two dogs, and the proceeds go toward the animals in the Animal Protective League’s care.

Saturday Noon – 9pm in Downtown Springfield.  It’s a day of shopping, activities and spooky fun for the whole family.

Trunk or Treat at Route 66 Drive In
Saturday 5pm – 7pm.  Kids 12+ under in costume get in for free.  Without a costum admission is $6 per child (12 and under) and $9.50 regular admission.  Your tickets also includes a double feature at the Route 66 Twin Drive-In Theatre.
