Hospital Sisters Mission Outreach is sending medical supplies and beds today from its Springfield warehouse to hurricane-ravaged Jamaica.
A 40-foot shipping container with the requested supplies is scheduled to leave the LaVerna Road facility today to be distributed by workers from the relief organization Food for the Poor.
Mission Outreach contributed more than 4,000 adult and child diapers to a shipment to Jamaica organized by another local organization, Midwest Mission.
