Springfield Police Make Narcotics and Firearms Arrest

The Springfield Police arrested a man Wednesday for narcotics and firearms possession.

The Springfield Police Department’s Pro-Active Crime Unit arrested 34-year-old Tavious Spencer at his residence. Authorities found ecstasy, cocaine, and cannabis as well as a revolver and shotgun.

Charges for Spencer included manufacture / delivery of a controlled substance, unlawful possession of a weapon by a convicted felon, possession of firearms – no FOID, unlawful possession of a weapon by a gang member and resisting a peace officer.

Spencer is currently being housed in the Sangamon County Jail.
