Dr. Diane Rutledge was named the 63rd recipient of Springfield’s First Citizen Award.
Dr. Rutledge, a lifelong educator, mentor, and community leader, has dedicated more than five decades to improving the lives of children, families, and organizations across the Springfield area through her exceptional leadership, volunteerism, and advocacy.
“Dr. Rutledge exemplifies what it means to be Springfield’s First Citizen,” said First Citizen Board President Butch Elzea.
Dr. Rutledge has served in leadership roles in many community boards and organizations. She also spearheaded many important programs around the Springfield Community.
Dr. Rutledge was presented the award at a ceremony held at Erin’s Pavilion at Southwind Park.
