India Night: A Celebration of Culture and Community Impact

By Michele Mitchell Nov 16, 2025 | 10:00 AM

On Saturday, November 8th, the Crowne Plaza in Springfield transformed into a vibrant celebration of Indian culture for India Night, with a gala presented by the Asian Indian Women’s Organization. This four-hour event was a feast for the senses—filled with dazzling colors, lively music, and an atmosphere of excitement and generosity.

Guests enjoyed an evening of dance performances, a fashion show, and numerous opportunities to support a meaningful cause. Beyond the festivities, India Night carried a powerful purpose: raising funds for Compass for Kids, a local nonprofit dedicated to empowering children and families underserved by our community.

Compass for Kids’ mission is to provide academic and social-emotional support that helps children thrive. Through programs focused on academic enrichment, mentoring, and life skills, they ensure that every child has the tools to succeed. The funds raised during India Night will directly support these initiatives, creating brighter futures for Springfield’s youth.

Woodward Community Media’s was proud to be part of this event as well.  98.7 WNN’s Rocki, of The Morning Routine emceed the event.

India Night was more than a gala—it was a testament to the strength of community and the impact of coming together for a cause. Thank you to everyone who attended, donated, and celebrated with us. Your support makes a difference!
