The US Small Business Association has announced that Illinois small businesses and non-profits that have been affected by the ongoing drought that began in April of 2025 will be eligible for low-interest federal disaster loans.
According to the SBA, loans may be used for working capital needs such as payroll, fixed debts, accounts payable, and other disaster-related bills—even if there was no physical damage to the business.
Businesses and nonprofits can apply online at sba.gov/disaster.
