After as much as 10 inches of snow covered central Illinois during the weekend, forecasters are expecting more snow today.
The National Weather Service at Lincoln says another 2 to 5 inches of snow could fall in the Springfield area from noon to 6 p.m.
Winds will be light. No other new snow is predicted through the weekend except for a slight change on Friday.
Temperatures will peak in the mid-30s Wednesday before a brief drop to a high in the teens on Thursday.
