State’s Winter Disconnection Rule Now in Effect

The Illinois Commerce Commission reminds residents that the state’s winter disconnection rule in now in effect through the end of March.

The rule limits utilities from disconnecting eligible customers who use electric or gas for home heating when temperatures are forecast to be at or below 32 degrees.
