Decatur Police responded to reports of shots fired on Christmas day.
According to reports On December 25, at around 5 p.m., officers responded to the 900 block of W. View Street in reference to reports of shots fired, with one individual struck by gunfire.
Upon arrival, officers located a 32-year-old male suffering from at least one apparent gunshot wound. The individual was pronounced deceased at the scene. No arrests have been made at this time.
This remains an active and ongoing investigation, and detectives continue to pursue additional leads
