Illinois Comptroller Susana Mendoza and her office are offering up some tips for financial success in 2026.
Those tips include, don’t be afraid to take a hard look at your finances, find what works for you, make an emergency fun happen, start tracking expenses, consider making a budget, and use automation to your advantage.
The Comptroller also suggests reviewing your credit report and reminds you that you can get a free credit report every 12 months from each credit reporting company: Experian, TransUnion, and Equifax.
