The Menard County State’s Attorney has pleaded guilty to DUI.

Menard County sheriff’s deputies were called to a crash involving Gwendolyn Thomas in Tallula on Oct. 24.

Days later, Thomas was charged with DUI and speeding.

Thomas appeared in court Dec. 19 with the special prosecutor. She pleaded guilty to the DUI charge, and the speeding charge was dropped in a negotiated plea.

Court records show Thomas will be placed on 12 months of supervision. She will pay more than $2,000 in fees and attend a “DUI school” program.
