Three finalists have been selected in the search for the next Springfield Public School District 186 superintendent.
Jennifer Gill announced her plans to retire as of June 30.
Carmen Ayala of the Illinois Association of School Boards, which is assisting the district in the search, told the State Journal-Register that a second round of interviews with the candidates and district stakeholders will be scheduled.
The finalists were not identified.
