The Springfield Sangamon Growth Alliance is highlighting continued economic growth in the area in the past year.
The public-private sector partnership said highlights from 2025 included the completion of the Springfield Clinic Dome at Scheels Sports Park at Legacy Pointe, which is expected to bring 250,000 new visitors to the area and generate 25 million dollars for the community.
The alliance also pointed to plans by REEL USA Corp to build its first industrial crane manufacturing facility in the US in Springfield.
SSGA said it sponsored nine community events, engaged in 40 project site searches, and conducted more than 125 business retention and expansion visits.
SSGA said it has generated more than 2.25 billion dollars in local economic growth since it was founded in 2018.
