The Rochester school district has published its plan to offset a projected budget deficit of 1.7 million dollars in the education fund for fiscal year 2027.
School officials discussed the plan during Wednesday’s meeting.
Superintendent Rolf Sivertsen said the district incurred a revenue loss of more than 1.2 million dollars in the current fiscal year, with state funding being pro-rated and federal funding uncertain.
The superintendent said the plan includes cuts in staffing while maintaining programs.
The plan can be found on the district website at rochester3a.net.
