Rochester High School has invested in Vape detectors.
The detectors are made by the Zeptive company and detect when vapor is detected, including nicotine and THC as well as aerosol sprays that may be used to mask the smell.
The vape monitors will be connected to an app, sending real-time alerts to staff.
The hope is that the detectors will deter vape use in the school’s bathrooms and allow all students to use the bathrooms vape free during passing periods.
