As the State of Illinois gears up for the 100th anniversary of Route 66, Logan County is excited for the $465,695 grant the Logan County Tourism Bureau received for Route 66 tourism development.
The grant money will be used for various projects including the completion of the Route 66 museum that is scheduled to open in May of this year just off Lincoln’s downtown square.
The grant will also fund restoration of the Mill Museum, which was built in 1929
