A member of the administrative cabinet for Springfield School District 186 has been chosen to lead Decatur public schools.
Dr. Nicole Moody will become Decatur school superintendent pending board approval on Tuesday.
Moody has been District 186 assistant superintendent of teaching, learning and school culture since 2021, although she was part of the cabinet before that and attended and taught in the district.
Moody will have a three-year contract in Decatur. She succeeds Rochelle Clark, who is retiring.
