A three-year-old boy has died after a house fire in Decatur last week.
Sangamon County Coroner Jim Allmon said the boy was in the pediatric intensive care unit at HSHS St. John’s Children’s Hospital in Springfield when he died on Friday afternoon.
Firefighters were called to the home on Decatur’s southeast side on Tuesday morning at about 8:30.
A 73-year-old man was also taken from the home to a medical facility in Rockford for severe trauma and burns.
