The Springfield City Council is considering an ordinance to extend the length of time for complaints to be filed with the city’s Police Community Review Commission.
The council put the ordinance on hold immediately after its first reading during Tuesday’s Committee of the Whole meeting amid questions about the status of the Commission, which has failed to meet for months due to a lack of quorum.
Ward 3 Alderman Roy Williams Jr. asked why the commission has not had enough members to be active.Â
