IDOT has given an update on the project to remove the unused City Water, Light and Power railroad bridge over Interstate 55 at milepost 94.
Interstate 55/72 will be closed nightly between the Sixth Street interchange and the Stevenson Drive interchange from 8:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. from Sunday, March 8 through Thursday, March 12.
Motorists are advised to slow down in construction zones and fine alternative routes.
