Meet Our Latest Friend
This week on The Morning Routine with Rocki and Lacey, we welcomed back one of our favorite guests and community advocates, Taylor Stevens from Synergy HomeCare, for a new edition of Circle of Friends, sponsored by Heartland Credit Union. Taylor is one of those people who walks into a room with a smile, a story, and—more often than not—a handful of new adventures to share. Today was no exception.
One of the biggest milestones she shared was completing her FBI Citizens Academy certification—an experience she described as “eye‑opening, empowering, and something I’ll never forget.” For Taylor, learning how different branches of public service operate only strengthened her passion for community involvement and advocacy.
And speaking of advocacy, Taylor is already packing for her upcoming trip to Washington, D.C. There, she’ll join representatives from the Home Care Association of America to lobby for accessible, affordable, and well-supported home care. She explained that advocating at the national level can feel big and intimidating, but she believes deeply that “every voice matters—especially when it’s used on behalf of people who rely on care to live independently.”
Taylor has always been a champion for uplifting others, and during the show, she talked about what advocacy truly means to her. It isn’t just about policy or meetings on Capitol Hill—it’s about speaking up in everyday life. She emphasized that anyone can be an advocate by sharing their experiences, asking questions, or supporting a cause they believe in.
As someone who works closely with families, caregivers, and seniors through Synergy HomeCare, Taylor sees firsthand how essential home care is. This fuels her passion for fighting for better resources and recognition for the people who make that care possible.
Of course, no visit with Taylor would be complete without a bit of fun. In classic Taylor fashion, she casually mentioned her recent purchase of a full Easter Bunny costume—a surprise even for us. Whether she’ll be hopping into a community event, delivering smiles to clients, or simply spreading seasonal joy around the office, one thing’s for sure: she’s going to make someone’s day.
Taylor’s blend of humor, dedication, curiosity, and heart makes her a standout guest and an even more exceptional human being. From federal advocacy to festive costumes, she reminds us that leadership comes in many forms—and that caring for people is at the center of all of them.
We’re always grateful to have her in the studio, and we can’t wait to see what she accomplishes next.
