A two-year-old girl was rescued on Thursday morning after falling into Lake Petersburg according to the Menard County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies were notified shortly after 10 am that the girl was not breathing and CPR was being performed.
The girl responded to the first deputy on scene.
She was taken by ambulance to a Springfield hospital.
The sheriff’s office said the girl was reportedly in stable condition.
