Downtown Springfield Inc. has removed the interim tag from its executive director.
DSI announced Jay Shanle as its executive director during the organization’s annual Get Your Kicks Gala fundraising event on Thursday evening at President Abraham Lincoln Hotel by Doubletree.
Shanle was DSI’s director of communications before becoming interim executive director in February and has been program director for the Springfield Area Arts Council.
He officially begins as DSI executive director on April 6.
