Blue pinwheels spinning on the lawn of the HSHS St. John’s Hospital Pavilion are in place as the annual reminder that April is Prevent Child Abuse Month.
HSHS, state and city leaders planted the pinwheels on the south lawn along Madison Street on Thursday morning.
Prevent Child Abuse Illinois Executive Director Tarra Winters reminded the pinwheel planters that child abuse is preventable and resources are available.
