A motorcyclist is dealing with life threatening injuries after an accident yesterday in Springfield.
According to reports the motorcyclist may have been speeding through a red light on Wabash Ave when they hit a car that was turning.
The motorcyclist was thrown about 300 feet from the point of impact.
The rider sustained severe injuries, including the loss of part of a leg below the knee.
An investigation into the crash remains ongoing.
