The newly established Mental Health Board in Sangamon County is now taking applications for individuals that would like to be on that board.
Sangamon County has said the board will consist of nine members responsible for assessing community needs and ensuring resources are distributed to local service providers.
Residents with experience in healthcare, mental health services, social services, finance, education and public safety are encouraged to apply.
The deadline to apply is 5 p.m. on April 20th. You can apply online, via email, or at the Sangamon County Board Office.
