State Senator Steve McClure says focusing on policies instead of personalities will be key for Republicans to be successful in November’s election.

The Springfield Republican told Sam Madonia on WMAY’s AM Springfield that the GOP can be successful by presenting alternatives to big issues.

McClure added that downstate voters can have an impact on the election with strong turnout.
