Family members said the 14-year-old Springfield boy who died Monday when his bicycle was struck by a vehicle was set to graduate from eighth grade this week.
Sangamon County Coroner Jim Allmon identified the youth as Quaneal Leone.
A vigil was held Tuesday evening at Cook Street and Eastdale Avenue, where the collision occurred.
A GoFundMe account has been established to cover funeral and memorial expenses.
