Visitors to the Illinois State Museum’s new Route 66 exhibit for the next 66 days can receive a free weekday admission to this year’s Illinois State Fair.
The “Miles of Memories: Stories of Route 66” exhibit features vintage souvenirs, neon and Burma-Shave signs and fiberglass advertising figures as well as oral histories about the highway from 100 interviews.
Visitors to the exhibit will receive a voucher good for one weekday admission to this year’s Illinois State Fair, which runs August 13th through the 23rd.
This year’s fair theme is “Miles of Smiles” to commemorate the Mother Road’s centennial.
