A ticket search engine called SeatPick found which music genre is popular in each state. It’s based on Google Trends search data.
The most-searched genre is Pop in 13 states, including California, Texas, Washington, Arizona, and Michigan. Metal closely follows with 11 states, including Alaska, Montana, Oklahoma, and Maine.
Soul is the third-most searched genre in five states, like North and South Carolina. Country follows in four states, including North Dakota and Tennessee.
The most-searched artist in Pop is Taylor Swift . . . for Metal it’s Sleep Token . . . Leon Thomas is the most popular in Soul . . . and it’s Morgan Wallen for Country.
