TIF funds approved for St. Nick elevator repairs

With a caveat, the Springfield City Council unanimously approved nearly $100,000 in tax-increment financing funds Tuesday evening for the upgrade of elevators at the St. Nicholas Apartments.With the vote, $99,900 in funds from the Central Area TIF will eventually go toward the modernization of two elevators in the nearly-century-old building.
