It’s been 25 years of so since ‘Jeremy’ first premiered on MTV. The version we all know is the ‘censored’ one of the video but fans knew there was a much darker version of the famous video.
This version features ‘Jeremy,’ played by Trevor Wilson, putting a gun in mouth. MTV wasn’t too keen on that imagery so it was removed. So it left the ending of the video’s story open – did Jeremy shoot his fellow students or himself… or both?
Even without that scene ‘Jeremy’ took home 4 awards at the 1993 MTV Video Music Awards.
