Prince Harry Wants to Take Away Your Video Games

Prince Harry has called for a ban on popular video game, Fortnite. Say whaaaa?

He said the video game is created to make people addicted to it and keep them in front of their computers for as long as possible. He also added that social media is, “more addictive than alcohol and drugs.”

His comments came after the BAFTA Gaming Awards held in London last night. He was at a separate event at a YMCA across town when he shared his strong opinions.

Prince Harry has always been an advocate for mental health, so I suppose his stance isn’t all that surprising. Research in both the UK and the United States are in agreement that online gaming can be detrimental to not only mental health, but physical health as well.

I do love me some Prince Harry, and while I agree, video gaming can get out of control, I don’t agree with his stance on social media being “more addictive than alcohol and drugs.” Thaaaaat’s a bit much.

So, I guess it’s safe to say the royal baby won’t have a nintendo or instagram any time soon?
