A teenager is dead following an overnight shooting in Springfield.
Sangamon County Sheriff’s Office said their deputies and officers from other agencies responded to the area of West Lenox and Glenwood Avenues around 1 a.m. this past Monday morning for a report of shots being fired.
When police arrived, they found a 19-year-old male – Camren White of Stonington – who had been shot. He was rushed to the hospital by an ambulance for treatment, but he did not survive.
The investigation is ongoing.
