Steve Miller Named Recipient Of The 2025 Les Paul Spirit Award

Steve Miller will receive the 2025 Les Paul Spirit Award on June 9 at the Gibson Garage Nashville, in honor of the guitar legend’s 110th birthday. The award, presented by the Les Paul Foundation and Gibson Gives, is given to individuals who exemplify Les Paul’s spirit through innovation in music, technology, and engineering. Miller was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2016 and the Songwriters Hall of Fame in 2022, and becomes the fifth recipient of the Les Paul Spirit Award, following Bob Weir, Nile Rodgers, The Edge, and Peter Frampton. “I cannot think of anyone more deserving to be honored with the Les Paul Spirit Award than Steve Miller,” Michael Braunstein, executive director of The Les Paul Foundation, said in a statement. “Not only is he an extraordinary talent and a wonderful friend of the Les Paul Foundation, Steve holds the very distinct title of being Les’ godson.
