The City of Springfield is notifying residents and motorists of plans for a temporary road closure on Cook Street at the 3rd Street railroad tracks, starting on Monday evening after rush hour.
The permitted closure will allow for the scheduled completion of repairs to train tracks along the 3rd Street corridor.
The closure will begin at 7:00 pm on Tuesday, July 15, and is anticipated to reopen by 7:00 am on Thursday, July 17.
A signed detour route will be posted to guide traffic around the construction area. Motorists are encouraged to use caution and seek alternative routes during the closure period to avoid congestion and delays.
