TV advertising has already begun in Illinois’ 2026 Democrat primary for U.S. Senate, and new fundraising numbers released Tuesday show the race is shaping up to be expensive.
The quarterly reports submitted to the Federal Elections Commission show Congressman Raja Krishnamoorthi raised the most money in the first quarter of fundraising.
Lieutenant Governor Juliana Stratton received money from some of the most politically connected donors in state politics, from Governor JB Pritzker to lobbyists and owners of Chicago sports teams.
Congresswoman Robin Kelly had the lowest fundraising total but has more than $2 million available.
