31 arrests and 385 citations is what was produced from a six day joint traffic enforcement operation in Sangamon County according to the Illinois State Police.
The operation was focused on high crash fatality areas, high crime areas, and organized violent offenders and was conducted in collaboration with the Springfield Police Department and the Sangamon County Sheriff’s Office.
Among the arrests and citations was the seizure of six firearms, recovery of one stolen vehicle, and confiscation of 44 pounds of cocaine and 1,453 pounds of illegal cannabis. A total of 52 criminal charges were filed, including 26 felony charges.
