Reports are out saying that District 186 and the Springfield Education Association have reached a tentative deal on a new contract.
The two sides have met with a federal mediator earlier this week. A ratification vote is scheduled to be held on Tuesday by the Teachers Union.
All sides had hoped to get a deal done before the first day of school in District 186 which will be a week from Monday.
